Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi on Tuesday joined Karachi Kings for Pakistan Super League’s third season.
Afridi was connected with Peshawar Zalmi and was a part of their victorious campaign within the last season before missing the final because of a hand injury.
As a part of the trade, Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings are swapping picks within the gold and silver categories of PSL’s player draft.

Why Afridi Left Peshawar Zalmi
Afridi had declared to part his ways with Zalmi earlier in March, indicating that he would be part of a new team before the next season of PSL.
He had tweeted that he’s going away PSL team Peshawar Zalmi because of personal reasons. However, he didn’t elaborate it more.
Afridi led Peshawar Zalmi within the 1st edition of PSL however stepped apart from captain’s role after being named because the president of Franchise’s president before the second edition and handed over the captainship to Darren Sammy.
